It happens every year and this year it's interface-7's turn to complain about the Netguide guide awards...
We're all for recognition in our profession, but the delivery of these awards are not up to much, especially when one of the winners isn't who they say they are and while we could complain about a whole number of different issues (sites are in the wrong catergory, why does Xtra win something every year?, etc) we thought we'd let the vaildation do the talking...
Update: Natalie biz's award winning blog now has valid HTML, nice!
Update 2: Matt from Cactuslab has updated www.publicaddress.net to valid HTML, wicked!
Update 3: Rachel of the award winning and very popular Idol Blog validated her HTML, Super!
Update 4: Just added a note regarding some comments people have made since the table went up.
Note: The testing method used on the sites is not infallible. Only the first page of the sites were tested, the tests do not take into account (an excellent point Matt made at Public address) that a validating site is based on good coding practices and that some site owners can not validate their sites because of systems outside of their control i.e. bloggers auto-generating CSS.
